Who are we?
The Open Page is an organization dedicated to cultivating creative identity in children.
We partner with public libraries and community bookstores to hold monthly storytelling seminars that empower young people to find and share their voices.
Each one-hour seminar will cover a fixed curriculum that aims to inspire the development of an authentic creative identity.
Seminars are open to children 8-10 years old.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to help young people become storytellers using their own creative voices. We strive to develop these voices through all manner of expression, whether that be prose, poetry, photography, music performance or composition, fine art, drawing or painting.

Storytelling can be used to persuade, disrupt, and influence audiences across the world through emotionally charged messages.

Storytelling has been a communal experience for centuries, often times resulting in a sense of connection from shared experiences and empathy.
How will we do this?
Through our one hour seminars, we show young people different possibilities for expression and help them explore how to find and amplify their voice through all available media.
